Improving Access

Proposed enhancements to the Cherry Street corridor near downtown Toledo has been identified as a project that could greatly improve access from development sites to both I-75 and I-475, and are a part of those highways' Systems Interchange Improvement Programs.

The proposed work includes a connector facility with new and existing alignments from Central Avenue, and the new I-75/Willys Parkway interchange to the I-75/Phillips Avenue interchange.

The project would include:

  • Reconstruction of Jeep Parkway from Central to Berdan Avenue.
  • Reconstruction of Berdan from Jeep Parkway to Detroit Avenue.
  • Realignment of the Berdan/Detroit intersections and Berdan, Colllingwood.
  • Cherry and Manhattan intersections.
  • Reconstruction of Manhattan Boulevard and Phillips Avenue to I-75.
